Effective Wednesday, January 1, 2003, the center's hours will change to
weekdays, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

General Information

Bull Run Public Shooting Center, located conveniently off exit 52 on I-66 in Bull Run Regional Park, is Northern Virginia's only public shooting center. Open year round (closed Christmas Day), the center has lighted facilities to accommodate evening shooters in all disciplines Skeet, Trap, Sporting Clays, Wobble Trap and 5-Stand. Knowledgeable range attendants can provide new shooters with an introduction to shooting sports, and professional classes are also available from NSCA and NSSA licensed instructors. Reloading supplies, shooting apparel, and safety equipment may be purchased at the pro shop. Guns may be ordered through the pro shop or rented from the center.

Facilities and Events

The center offers 3 Skeet Fields, 2 Trap fields, a 5-Stand complex, a Wobble Trap complex, and a six-acre Sporting Clays Course with a variety of terrains including both wooded and open field target presentations. There are two registered Skeet tournaments per year (12 and 20 gauge) held in April and October and one registered Sporting Clays tournament per month (100 targets) from spring through fall. Various leagues are offered year round including NRA, NSCA, and fun leagues.

Hours

The center is open 4 pm to 9 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 6 pm on weekends and holidays.

Directions

To reach Bull Run Public Shooting Center, take esit 52 off I-66 and drive 2 miles south on Rt. 29. Turn left on Bull Run Post Office Road (Rt. 621), and follow the signs to the park. For more information, call the center at (703) 830-2344.
