MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING OF THE
VIRGINIA SKEET SHOOTING ASSOCIATION HELD ON AUGUST 27, 2005
AT FREDERICKSBURG ROD & GUN CLUB, VIRGINIA


The meeting was called to order by VSSA President, Richard Haynie

Club Directors and Officers Present (20 voting):

Call to Order:

President Haynie called the meeting to order at 7.45 p.m.
Minutes of the November 2004 were approved.
Treasurer Tom Contrucci reported that the association was slightly ahead of budget relative to projected revenue due to the Zone II being held in Virginia this year.

 

New Business:
Jim Stam proposed that the state shoot bid be increased by $0.25 to $6.00. A short discussion followed the seconding of the motion. It was approved with none opposed.
The State Shoot for 2006 was offered to Richmond at $6.00 per hundred targets which was accepted by Jim Stam as the Club Director. According to By-Laws the 2006 State Shoot will be held August 17-20.
President Haynie next presented the slate of nominees for the offices of President, Vice President, Executive Committee (2), and Chief Referee. The Nominating Committee selections for these positions were:
President: Richard Haynie (incumbent)
Vice President: Keith Lovegrove (incumbent)
Executive Committee: Al Talacek (incumbent)
John Daubenschmidt
Chief Referee: Robert Williams
There were no additional nominations from the floor. The nominations were then closed and the nominees elected by acclamation.
Jim Stam confirmed that the Richmond Club would be available to host the November Annual Business meeting, set for 13 November at 11 a.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
Addenda: Tom Contrucci (Treasurer) held a brief Executive Committee meeting after adjournment of the Director's meeting to secure approval for one additional line item expenditure to have the trophy shop put wooden pedestals on the six largest perpetual trophy bowls. His motion passed without opposition.
